This holistic approach to shaft development in the context of overall club performance and golfer biomechanics includes a proprietary system which can measure thousands of swings across all shafts recording club performance both pre and post impact, shaft deflection and twist, and club head performance based on shaft movement.
H.I.T. – HIGH INERTIA TIP – This technology maximizes the energy created during your downswing and then releases that energy right before impact, which means the tip end of the shaft accelerates faster to the ball. This provides optimal spin, regardless of ball flight.
VeloCore technology is a multi-material bias core construction technique that delivers ultimate stability through transition and impact (maximizing clubhead MOI) – increasing velocity and smash factor. The multi-material core is crafted with full-length, ultra-high modulus Pitch 70 Ton Carbon Fiber — 150% stronger and more stable than T1100g — for ultimate stability, and 40 Ton bias layers ensure incredible feel.
Ventus, new for 2019, utilizes VeloCore to deliver ultimate stability through transition and impact. Ventus with VeloCore Technology promotes consistent center-face impact and provides ultimate stability, tightening dispersion and increasing control. The result is a shaft that maximizes the MOI and ball speed of your clubhead through the reduction of twist during the swing and at impact, especially on off-center hits.
TAPER DESIGN – Data from Enso consistently showed that more surface area with a larger handle allowed the golfer to grip the club effectively with less effort. Both avid golfers who may grip their clubs too tightly and golfers who want to hit the ball more consistently on the center face of the club can benefit from this feature. Currently only available on Speeder PRO.
The role of the bias layer in golf shafts is to promote twisting strength, reduce torque, and increase stability. The bias layer is usually laid on the mandrel at 45 degrees adjacent to 0 degree layers.
In the Speeder Evolution IV, our engineers have moved the bias layer from the traditional innermost layer and put it in between straight layers (0 degree layers) which provides a much smoother loading and feel to the shaft.
Metal Composite Technology (MCT) is the latest CG Improvement by Fujikura which joins Composite Carbon with an array of metals. MCT is extremely strong but also enables us to add weight in key points in the shaft for improved feel or kick speed. For example, in the Speeder Evolution Series of products the addition of the Metal Composite Technology (MCT) below the grip position creates a slight counterbalance feel to help with swingweight and speed.
Our MCI irons are made with MCT and designed to give you the best of both worlds. The MCT evenly balances the shaft’s center of gravity allowing for better control and superior feel. It brings a nice flow of frequency and torque to your swing because the weight is more evenly distributed.
MAXIMUM CARBON FIBER CONTENT – Provides greater stiffness and strength compared to a standard/conventional material at a similar weight. This allows for increased stability, distance, and feel. Materials containing an extremely high fiber content are difficult to make, and only the best, high-precision material suppliers can accomplish it. They make it exclusively for Fujikura Golf.
HDCC – The High Density Composite Core allows us to shift weight towards the butt section of the shaft. This creates a counter balanced feel, a higher balance point, and lower swing weight. HDCC is also used in the tip section of the PRO Irons to achieve proper swingweights at standard lengths.
MULTIAXIAL REINFORCED MID-SECTION – MRM-S strengthens the outer wall of the middle section to prevent ovalization and promote efficient energy transfer.
