Dave has been no stranger to competitive golf. A serial Club Championship winner at his local Shadowridge Golf Club, Dave has consistently competed at a high level throughout his professional career, even showcasing his talents on the PGA Tour at the Buick Invitational over 20 years ago. His participation at the major is a reflection of his personal commitment to the sport and serves as an inspiration to the entire Fujikura family.

Dave Schnider’s journey with Fujikura has been marked by a relentless pursuit of excellence. Under his guidance, Fujikura has strengthened its position as a leader in the golf shaft industry, consistently pushing the boundaries of technology and performance. But Schnider’s influence extends beyond the boardroom and the factory floor; it’s also seen on the greens and fairways.

In a recent video with Fujikura for Father’s Day, Dave highlights the significant impact the sport has had on both his personal and professional life. The large amount of Dave’s time on the golf course is spent with his 15-year old son Luke, who has begun to embark on his own golfing journey.

Hoping to follow in his dad’s footsteps, Luke has frequently caddied for Dave in many other events, none more important than there upcoming trip to Rhode Island. Learning firsthand from one of the best in the business, Luke is becoming a successful high school golfer in his own right, ready to compete for similar accolades to his father in the future.

Speaking with Dave about the experience, he said “I have dreamed of playing in a professional major championship since I was a kid and I finally get to make that dream come true and even better, I have my 15 year old son as my caddy.  A true dream come true!  My goal is to make the cut but I don’t really have any expectations, I am going to enjoy every minute of the experience.”

For Fujikura employees, partners, and customers, seeing their CEO compete in the major is a source of immense pride and motivation. It’s a reminder that at Fujikura, passion for golf isn’t just about creating superior products; it’s about living the game and cherishing the relationships it fosters.

The entire Fujikura community will be cheering for Dave Schnider this week. We’re all looking forward to him flying the Fujikura flag in one of golf’s most prestigious events.
