Marking three decades of innovation and performance in the golf shaft industry, our journey began in 1994 with the establishment of Fujikura Composite America at our original headquarters in Vista, California. Our goal then was to supply premium golf shafts to the top golf club manufacturers.
Our focus has changed since the company’s inception, now we create premium aftermarket golf shafts and educate golfers on the importance of custom club fittings. Today, our headquarters resides in the world-famous golf business hotbed of Carlsbad, California with industry leading professionals that design, develop and rigorously test products.
Over the years we have seen tour success at all levels, including over 30 major championship wins, despite not paying any professional golfers to play Fujikura products. Through ground-breaking advancements like VENTUS’ VeloCore technology that boasts faster swings speed and tighter dispersion, we have earned the trust of golfers at every level. Through these advancements, our mission is to bring joy to all golfers by improving their game and maximizing their potential.
1994
Fujikura Composite America is Founded
Established in Vista, California at one of the most world-renowned golf business locations in the world, Fujikura in Japan expands on focused golf shaft initiatives.
1998
Speeder 757 Debuts on the Professional Level
The Speeder 757 paved the way for a revolution in the golf shaft industry. Fujikura soon takes over as the #1 driver, wood, and hybrid shaft for the beginning of a long sustained streak.
1999
Vista Pro is Launched
One of the founding models, Vista Pro was launched with success and the global Fujikura Dealer Network that we use today is established laying the foundation for the future.
2001
Major Success
The Prototype 70, which later became the Vista Tour 70 breaks through and wins Fujikura’s first major championship title at the U.S. Open Championship followed closely behind by a second major win at the Open Championship by the Vista Pro 90.
2003
Green Jacket Winner
Winning ways continue and the iconic Speeder 757 earns a green jacket in Augusta, GA. The championship win gave Fujikura shafts the victories at every major completing the career Grand Slam just 9 years into the company’s inception.
2005
Fujikura Rombax Releases and Wins Internationally
Shortly after its release, the Rombax shaft is used on tour in Japan by the winner of the Yamaha Open.

Motore F1
The Motore Speeder introduced a new high inertia tip (H.I.T) technology, which stores more energy during the downswing and releases the energy just before impact.

Motore Speeder Tour Spec Launches
Motore Speeder Tour Spec is quickly adopted by the best players in the world and jumps #1 on the professional level (according to Darrelsurvey).

Enso Technology is Developed
Enso is the first club fitting and shaft development system that measures information both before and after the ball is hit. This proprietary testing system enables Fujikura to use science, engineering, and technology to create the best products possible.

Speeder Evolution Launches
Carbon and an industry-first TRIAX core helped elevate our most premium and high-performance shaft to date with the Speeder Evolution.
