David Schnider
President & CEO

David started playing golf at age 9. He played college golf at San Diego State University and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. He started his golf industry career at Grafalloy shaft company and was then hired by Fujikura in 1999. He helped introduce Fujikura branded shafts to the US Market, starting with the iconic Speeder 757. In 2008, he became Fujikura’s President. He has worked closely with Fujikura employees, customers, and stakeholders to build a culture of passion and excellence, producing the World’s Best Performance Golf Shafts.      

Jeremy Butler
Director of Sales & Operations

Jeremy has a background in Mechanical Engineering with an emphasis in Composite Materials from Brigham Young University. He began working in the Golf Industry in 1996 and joined the Fujikura team in 2004. During his time at Fujikura, he has worked as the Business Development Manager and is the current Director of Sales and Operations.

Chad Embrey
Global Sales Manager

Chad has spent 30 years in the golf business. Since joining the Fujikura team in 2001, he has been an integral part of establishing our Charter Dealer Network and continued business growth. He also contributes his golf and fitting knowledge to the #AskChad video series and online certification videos. Chad’s favorite golf memory is his hole in one at Riviera Country Club #16.

Eric Recher
Director of Marketing

Eric was introduced to the game at an early age by his father and it has been a part of his life ever since. Playing competitively in high school and at Boston College, he stayed passionate about the game and sought a career in the industry. Eric moved to California in 2013 to begin a career at TaylorMade-Adidas working on both the Adidas and Ashworth brands in Global Marketing before joining the team at Fujikura in 2016.      

Spencer Reynolds
Product & Brand Manager

Spencer brings over 15 years of golf industry experience ranging from product testing coordination to product development and program management. After graduating from Texas Tech University, he pursued a career in golf beginning as a club fitter in Austin, TX before moving to California to start his 9-year stint with Titleist. Spencer is passionate about the game of golf and is continually impressed by the sport’s global impact. He joined the Fujikura team in 2021.

Daniel Jacobs
Senior Engineering Manager

Danny holds a degree in Structural Engineering with an emphasis in Aerospace and Composite Structures from UC San Diego. Prior to Fujikura, he worked with commercial aircrafts in the aerospace industry. Being an athlete growing up, he always had a desire to combine sports with engineering and found golf as the perfect intersection. He played club soccer at UCSD and enjoys many other sports including golf and skiing, and frequently attends live music events when not in the office.

Patrick McCoy
Director of Tour Operations

Patrick has over 30 years of experience in the golf industry and is a life member of the PGA of America. As Director of Tour Operations, he has used his wealth of experience and knowledge of the game to educate and provide PGA Tour players with the latest and greatest options from the Fujikura catalog. When not on tour, Patrick enjoys vacationing in the Bahamas.

Marshall Thompson
Tour Representative

While pursuing his business degree, Marshall played golf at Palomar College. Marshall began his career at Fujikura as an intern where he learned fitting under Pat McCoy. He has worked in the golf industry ever since and has developed a wealth of experience from fitting players of varying skill levels both in the Fujikura studio and on the range. He assists with all Tour departments and is highly involved in the prototyping and testing of new products.

Andrew Hoang
Tour Representative

Andrew was introduced to golf at an early age by his father and played competitive junior golf. After graduating from the University of Washington, he started his golf career as a part time Product Testing Coordinator at Fujikura, learning club building and fitting under Marshall Thompson and John Hovis. He recently transitioned to the Tour team, where he manages the Korn Ferry Tour, LPGA, Champions Tour, and College/Junior/Am. Andrew has quickly gained a wealth of knowledge from Fujikura’s 50+ combined years of Tour and product experience. In his free time, Andrew enjoys traveling and playing the world’s best golf courses with his family. He joined the Fujikura team in 2021.

Dave Maldonado
Sales Representative

David developed his passion for golf while working at Shadowridge Golf Club when he was just 18 years old. In 2005, David joined the Fujikura team as a Sales Representative where he has dedicated his time to building strong customer relationships. His very first Fujikura shaft was personally built by Pat McCoy, and he still has the club to this day.

Nathan Stepanski
Sales Representative

Nathan was introduced to golf at an early age by his grandfather but didn’t start playing until high school where he developed a deep passion for the game. Working at various golf clubs throughout school allowed him to develop his game and have a greater understanding of the sport. He went on to play for the University of La Verne and graduated with a degree in Business Administration. Nathan’s favorite golf memories are traveling to tournaments during college and his hole in one at Torrey Pines. Nathan joined the Fujikura team in April of 2023.

Travis Horning
Sales Representative

Travis graduated from Chico State in 2020 with a degree in Project Management and joined the Fujikura sales team in March of 2021. After starting his career with limited golf experience, Travis has since become highly dedicated the game. When not taking care of customers, Travis can be found diligently working on his swing and golf game, improving his handicap rapidly.
